“ Food was good! Service was easy and helpful. The vibe was chill and relaxing. The portion was just right ”
“ We finally made it here! Not quite on the bucket list, but definitely on our radar from the day we came to town. In 89 days, we intend to try something in every culture that we can find. Today, the Codmother represents jolly ole England. We arrived with a party of eight, including two kids. No matter, they have a kids menu. They have limited outdoor seating but the place wasn't at all busy. A bit of a shock from all the stories we'd heard. Our table was even covered by a tent! I think I'm now infatuated with how the English prepare their fish & chips. Nothing hits the fryer until you order and pay. It all comes out hot and crispy that way. Everyone ordered something slightly different and it was all delicious. They're very accurate and punctual. The only wait time is the preparation. The staff are very hospitable and helpful. There's something called "Bay Area pricing" but this joint is far more reasonable; especially when you factor in the large portions. Would love to come back here next year! ”
“ Great place for a bite... food was great and service absolutely impeccable. If you are in fisherman's wharf surely you need to pass by over here! There are tables to eat all with the weather of SF with you ”
“ Everything was phenomenal. Perfect amount of fries. Perfect amount of sauce. Definitely would recommend getting this! ”
“ It was a cold day and I was craving clam chowder in a sourdough bowl but I also wanted some fish and chips ! Luckily my boyfriend and I share everything because we are foodies and it was definitely worth it . This establishment is a permanent food truck with outside seating , no restrooms but there is restrooms close by near the end of the pier . The food took about 15 minutes to come out but it was delicious !!! Our fish and chips were super golden and crispy and flavorful . Our garlic fries had the perfect golden crisp and the perfect amount Of Garlic !! We are garlic lovers , so this made me do my little hum song and dance while we ate the food . The clam chowder was also very delicious and the bread was so warm and fresh . I definitely recommend you try them out ! They usually have a wave of people that come and go . But definitely worth it and the prices of very reasonable. ”
“ This is a good truck with amazing food. Portion are not so big and it's quite expensive considering it's a food truck. The combo which had 2 fish and chips and 4 shrimps costed $20+ taxes. Service is slow but they have decent seating arrangement with covered seating . Place worth to visit .... It's in downtown so yes parking is tough ”
“ We got the clam chowder and fish tacos. The clam chowder was so yummy!! The fish tacos could've used more seasoning but it was still good. The portions were great. The guy taking our order was friendly, and it wasn't busy on a Monday afternoon. ”
“ Got hungry and needed a snack down in SF Fisherman's Wharf area. Found Codmother Fish & Chips close by and ordered their plate of fried Calamari. WOW! big plate and fresh from the fryer. It took a little while for them to make this but not overly long wait. This made us think it was freshly prepared. Plate came with lemons and a very nice dipping sauce. This is basically a permanent food truck with fenced in seating area and some extra tables on the sidewalk. Clean and comfortable with outdoor umbrellas to protect you from the weather. I was eyeballing another customer who ordered the Fish and Chips and it looked fantastic! Next time!! Worth trying this establishment. Enjoy!! ”
“ I came here with 3 people and our average rating was 3.5 We collectively got 1 combo, 2 bowls of chowder, 1 order of calamari , and 1 fish and chips. The chowder was good but very buttery and pretty thin for a chowder. The fried fish were large and HOT, they unfortunately didn't have any seasoning. I will say, the best part was probably the fried shrimp. Super friendly guys at the window to take your order and I have to respect the food truck game. I'm not exactly sure how it stacks up against the rest of the fried seafood stands in the area but could be worth a shot ”
